Alcohol.

    The culture in America surrounding alcohol is flawed. American's abuse it like no other, mostly leading to alcoholism. Unlike America, France is where alcohol is appreciated. The French give their children tastes of alcohol when they are young so that when they reach that age, there is no great need to go crazy.
    That is what consumes and is consumed by many college students. Why do college kids do it? It is a way to feel relaxed. It is a way to get into someone's pants. It is a way to feel like someone can do anything, such as asking a girl or a boy out or just making out. That is what bothers me about college. We have the people who go all out and just have no control, and we have the people who drink regularly and are proud they can drink so much. No one cares that you can drink so much. And those with no control look like fools.
    I don't drink. I don't want to feel like a complete failure the next day. I don't want to spend the next day laying in bed doing nothing because my head is pounding. I don't want to feel like I need to puke my guts out because I drank too much.
    All my friends drink, but because I don't, I'm the black sheep or maybe just the prude. I've lost friends because I don't drink. Yet these people don't try to understand why I don't drink in the first place and pat me on the back with a "I'm so sorry". So, unfortunately maybe these people are not the people I want to spend time with anyway.
