Good Films.

Films. I’m obsessed with them. Seriously my hobby is watching a good film and analyzing it.
Good films make its audience want to think. However I always wonder, is this society ready for the films that require thought?
One of my classes I took, History of Motion Picture II, showed a French film. This film was La Regle du Jeu or The Rules of the Game by Jean Renior, the son of Pierre-Auguste Renoir. It's possible that because I'm French and grew up watching French films that I understood and appreciated the film a lot more than my peers. The reactions from that class of "it was not very clear of the idea" was reflective on how the hollywood system has successfully presented its films on a silver platter.
I love films because like books, films bring you to a new place. Films create atmosphere for the viewer. It creates a world in which the problem is just a fragment of a problem or problems in the real world.

Todd introduced my to this video that has been excellently put together with the 25 Best Films of 2013.  Obviously its all subjective.

Cheers,
Claire
