Insightful video about being a female in a male-dominant area of creativity: videography. A bit of background on the video; Cristina studied fashion merchandising in university and became interested in photography and videography at different times. I think she has really honed her skills. I personally have not experienced anything like she has. I probably haven't met these ego-filled men.
From her anecdotes, I sort of wonder if men really think that women cannot produce as high quality films or videos as men can. There is literally no difference. Women can be just as motivated, creative, and qualified as men. Maybe even more depending on where you go.
I know I want to go into production. It's probably one of the only things I do that I'm the most passionate about. All I can really do, with the fact that I may be discriminated by my gender, is to be the best videographer, producer, and etc I can be! And that's that.
